As a member of VNS Health Medicare (HMO), your pharmacy benefit is managed by MedImpact. MedImpact’s preferred mail-order pharmacy is Birdi™. They will help you get your medicine in a convenient way.
Why use Birdi?
With Birdi’s pharmacy mail-order service, you get:
Home delivery of your maintenance medications. These are drugs you take for conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes.
Automatic refill reminders to help you have the right amount of medicine on hand.
Tracking of your prescriptions through your MedImpact digital tools, the pharmacy portal, and mobile app.
Getting Started with Birdi
You can register online at medimpact.com or with the MedImpact mobile app, or call 1-855-873-8739 (TTY: 711). You also may complete the enrollment form and mail it to :

You will need to include some information with your registration, including your allergies, medical conditions, contact information, and shipping address.
Once you register, you may review details about your medicine, request new prescriptions or refills, and manage your shipping/payment details online or through the app. You can request phone, email, or text updates about your orders. Orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days from receipt of prescription.
Option A: Your Doctor Sends Your Prescription
Ask your doctor to send your prescriptions electronically or by fax directly to 1-888-783-1773. Birdi can only accept these prescriptions from your doctor. They will automatically fill and ship most new prescriptions they get from your doctor, except for controlled substances.
Note: If you are an unregistered member and your doctor sends a prescription, a Birdi team member will call to register you over the phone.
Option B: Sign in to Website
Sign in to medimpact.com to request a new prescription or transfer from a retail pharmacy. Choose “Transfer/Request Prescriptions” at the top of the “My Prescriptions -> Prescription List” page and follow the instructions.

After an order has shipped, track your orders by visiting medimpact.com or checking the mobile app. You can find current tracking information and updates as to when packages will arrive. If you order multiple items, each may have a separate delivery date and tracking status.
Use the portal or app anytime to:
- Order new prescriptions or transfer from a retail pharmacy
- Refill mail-order drugs or renew expired mail-order prescriptions
- Review estimated copay amount, last order status, and date for next refill
- Get reminders and alerts via automated phone call, email, or text
- View and sort your list of mail-order drugs
- Manage account information
